BE MY ESCAPE.

I'm trying to see the magic in everyday miracles now: the fact that my heart still beats, that I can lift my feet off of the earth to walk, and that there is something in me worthy of love.

Everyday is a battle worth fighting for. The struggle to stay alive and feel alive is real.

At least that’s what I tell myself.

One day, you feel like everything is in your favor and the next day it’s not. The key here is perseverance. Having a reason to keep on going is one of the best things you’ll have in this life. Although, it may be the same reason that will make you give up and call it quits. Don’t be fooled. Having a strong mindset towards one thing may help you in the long run―and this has to be a positive one. Don’t let those demons take control of your mind, for once they do, you can be irrational and do things you aren’t supposed to do.

Focus on this reason, and think about all that you have sacrificed day after day. Even when things start to go out of hand, try to take control of your whole being―mentally, physically, emotionally. Don’t give in to negative thoughts or anger when you’re not supposed to. You have the right to feel every emotion, but know when and where to use it. Learn to love, accept, forgive, and apologize at the same time. Giving the benefit of the doubt to people can serve you well, too. I believe in seeing the good in everyone despite the bad. For a pessimist, I can be pretty optimistic.

I’m no expert when it comes to life advice or whatever, but lately, I’ve been trying to keep up with life itself. One of my professors said, “When something bad comes along your way, and you were ready for it, then God gave it to you.” So gear up for your everyday battle, & don’t forget to keep your head up.

“No relationship is perfect, ever. There are always some ways you have to bend, to compromise, to give something up in order to gain something greater… The love we have for each other is bigger than these small differences. And that’s the key. It’s like a big pie chart, and the love in a relationship has to be the biggest piece. Love can make up for a lot.”
